Some sessions just feel like magic from the very first moment… and Drew and Madison’s downtown Charleston engagement session was exactly that.

Madison grew up in Charleston, so it was really important to her that we captured that timeless, coastal Southern charm that makes this city so iconic. And honestly… this is the kind of session a Charleston South Carolina engagement photographer dreams about.

We planned their session around all the classic downtown spots to truly give them that overall Charleston vibe, and it could not have come together more perfectly.

We started at the always iconic Rainbow Row, where the soft pastel homes and historic charm created the most romantic backdrop. There is just something about that location that never gets old. Between the colors, the light, and the way these two look at each other… I was already obsessed within the first five minutes.

From there, we wandered through the quiet streets, soaking in all the hidden corners and dreamy textures that make downtown Charleston so special. Every stop felt effortless. Drew and Madison have that kind of connection that makes my job feel easy… the kind where I barely have to pose anything because the moments are already happening.

We wrapped up their session at Waterfront Park just as the light started to soften, and it was the perfect ending. The breeze off the water, the golden glow, the peaceful energy… it all came together in the most beautiful way.
