As a North Carolina wedding photographer, I get to witness so many beautiful love stories, but Ashley and Ron’s wedding was something truly special. Honestly, I think it was one of the most emotional weddings I have ever had the honor of photographing.
This wasn't just two people getting married. It was two families becoming one, and you could feel that love in every single moment of the day.
From their children holding hands as Ashley and Ron said I do to the incredibly heartfelt speeches from Ashley’s twin and Ron’s best man, there wasn't a dry eye in sight. The love surrounding these two was something you could feel, and it made their day unforgettable.
A First Look Full of Happy Tears
Ashley and Ron chose to share a first look before the ceremony, and let me tell you, it was EVERYTHING. The moment Ron turned around and saw Ashley, the tears started flowing. She looked absolutely beautiful, and seeing his reaction was one of those moments that reminds me exactly why I love what I do.
But we weren't finished with the first looks just yet! We also had special moments with Ashley's bridesmaids and her stepdad. There were happy tears, so much laughter, and so many genuine emotions. These are the memories that make a wedding day about so much more than just the pretty details.
A Fairytale Wedding in the Woods
Ashley and Ron tied the knot at Carolina Country Weddings in Mount Pleasant, surrounded by towering trees and the warm glow of fairy lights. Think woodland romance meets an enchanting fairytale, and you'll have a pretty good idea of just how magical this setting was.
Their ceremony was filled with so much meaning, especially as their children stood together, holding hands while their parents promised forever to one another. It was such a beautiful reminder that this day wasn't just the beginning of a marriage. It was the joining of a family.
And then, it was official! Ashley and Ron said I do, and the celebrations began.
Frolicking Through the Fields
Now, if you know me, you know couple portraits are one of my absolute favorite parts of a wedding day! Once the ceremony was over, we headed out into the beautiful countryside for some portraits of the newlyweds.
We wandered through the fields, twirled around, laughed together, and soaked up all the beauty of the property. There is just something about an open field, beautiful natural light, and two people who are completely in love that never gets old.
These portraits felt romantic, carefree, and a little bit like stepping into a fairytale. Ashley and Ron made my job easy because their happiness was written all over their faces!
Tacos, Family, and a Night Around the Bonfire
After portraits, it was time to head back and celebrate with their favorite people. And can we take a moment to appreciate a wedding with GOOD FOOD? Because tacos are always a good idea!
With family and friends traveling all the way from West Virginia and Florida, this celebration was especially meaningful. You could see how much everyone enjoyed being together, catching up, sharing stories, and celebrating this next chapter for Ashley and Ron.
The evening continued with dancing, laughter, and the kind of moments you wish you could bottle up and keep forever. As the night went on, their friends and family gathered around the bonfire, dancing and celebrating beneath the trees.
Honestly, I can't imagine a more perfect ending for Ashley and Ron. A little magic, a whole lot of love, their favorite people, and a night they will never forget.

Ashley and Ron, thank you for allowing me to be part of such a meaningful day. Your wedding was a beautiful reminder that love doesn't just bring two people together. It brings families together, creates new memories, and gives everyone a reason to celebrate.
